Our Goal
- We must capture the hearts of people. We must reach them at the heart level. This has been the essence of The Sanctuary's work to provoke a passionate response to God.
- Once a person's heart has been captured by God, the journey has just begun. To see true transformation, we must help people get deeply rooted in the foundations of faith. This is the only way they will stay strong in the midst of the ravages of culture or the godless philosopies of our community. People need to discover truth for themselves not just passively accept what has been preached to them or passed down. This is why they need tools, as well as leaders to instruct and guide them.
- Supportive relationships are vital. People need to have community fellowship and accountability. But they also need to feel part of something bigger than themselves, something substantive. All of our efforts direct people back to their family and their church, where there are people they can talk to and pray with genuine friendships. This is true community.
- Each of these three points above are critical, but there is one other essential ingredient. No life can meet it's true potential without a sense of mission and understanding that each of us is here on this earth for a purpose. Contrary to popular opinion, people are hungry to do something to make their lives count.
